Artist's Description
The crosses symbolize the Father, Son and Holy Ghost ...in front of a sacred Escher style heavenly wall. The wall contains never ending columns and ornate coffered ceiling elements suggesting never ending support, strength and beauty. Modern, Contemporary dream or visionary style with multiple layers and light patterns. Mixed media that incorporates many techniques primarily photography, digital painting and finishing techniques. There is a symbolic emphasis on the lighting in this piece that required many layers.
We could use a little more golden light in the world at this point. Why not start with the images we create and view.
"If light is in your heart, you will find your way home" Rumi
Makes a pretty interesting pillow.

About Joseph J Stevens
I enjoy creating....I grew up on the coast in one of those scenic seaside art colonies. I've always enjoyed drawing and creating. I retired as a published architect, but my passion for art has never wavered. I now spend my days creating paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs and other works of art. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it. I love to use my architectural background and study of natural patterns to create finely detailed works. My art is inspired by the beauty of the natural world. I love to capture the light and shadows of the ocean, the lushness of the forest, and the grandeur of the mountains. I also enjoy exploring the human condition through my art. I believe that art can be a powerful tool for...

Crossed to the Cross...nailed to the segmented visions. Piety is looking for a victim, for our heart is bleeding without any reason...so...many...times. When you contemplate it, there is some fixedness in it, for the cross is always meaning the possibility of whieelig aroung the same axis, like a Yantra ....There is a mirror quality, not repetition. Simply the need to vision the underworld in the same conditions. But There is not any Underworld, in here...and. if it is there, it may be a backstage, where in complete darkness, the tired characters are trying to follow their own rymthm, instead of being sacrificed by the searching of the Eternal Light. The reason you cannot see the mandalic vision is because you are looking into it..too close. As if you regard Death too close to a sense of loosing. But when you get a bit farther...then the spotlights are harmoniously forming a rounded bed..where the saints and gods....can dance and come out of their Passion. Rosa
